What other steps do we take?

I am Learning makes use of Adobe Flash and is designed in accordance with the Adobe White Paper by Bob Regan ‘Best Practices for Accessible Flash Design.’ (See: http://www.adobe.com/resources/accessibility/best_practices/bp_fp.html) However, where flash is not absolutely necessary (flash is used for games based delivery of learning content), CSS driven pages are utilised to best support accessibility. In instances where audio has been used, text based transcripts have been provided.

From a design perspective, Jakob Nielsen’s usability heuristics have been consulted (See: http://www.useit.com/papers/heuristic/heuristic_list.html) together with the text ‘Don’t make me think! A common sense approach to web usability’ by Steve Krug; to ensure the experience for all users is inclusive, accessible and effective for learning.
